The story of the Armenian Children’s Camp in Tuzla... it is narrated by the journalist Hrant Dink who was the victim of a murder which has shaken the Turkish and Armenian societies...
The Armanian Children’s Camp in Tuzla, near İstanbul, has been founded by the efforts of the orphans. Hrant Dink was also one of these children who have tried to bild up a home for themselves. The Camp has been taken from the children by a law enacted after the Military coup of Sempember 12, 1980, because it belonged to the Armenian Foundation; and it was left to ruin.
In the documentary, Hrant, walking among the ruins of the camp, talks about his feelings, the meaning of the camp for the lonely children and the orphans, and his struggle for getting it back. The documentary is a kind of requem narrating the dreams of Hrant, made after his brutal and heart-breakin murder. |
